Megan Burnside-Poitras is a passionate communicator, agricultural advocate, and mental health champion. As Interim Senior Strategic Communications Advisor with Agriculture Wellness Ontario, Megan leads province-wide initiatives to strengthen mental health awareness and support within farming communities. With more than 14 years of experience in the agricultural nonprofit sector, Megan has built a career empowering volunteers, developing leadership programs, and fostering strong community connections. She is known for her ability to design engaging learning experiences, create meaningful communications strategies, and support the growth of resilient, healthy rural communities. A lifelong agricultural enthusiast, Megan grew up on a farm, is an active beef producer, and has shown and judged cattle across breeds. She remains a proud supporter of 4-H and other youth agricultural programs, passionate about creating opportunities that inspire the next generation of leaders.
